Death Toll from Sumatra Disaster Tops 1,200, 143 Still Missing

.KN. National Disaster Management Agency’s (BNPB) Data, Information, and Disaster Communication Center Chair Abdul Muhar said that floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra have killed 1,200 people as of Monday. BNPB also reported that 113,903 displaced residents remain in evacuation shelters following disasters that have occurred since late November.
