Social Media Admin Arrested by Jakarta Police, Allegedly Linked to Posts About Protests

KN.Jakarta Metro Police arrested AFA, an Instagram admin for @pemukiman setan, early Monday. Political Prisoners Union (Setapol) representative Khariq Anhar confirmed the arrest, saying officers picked up AFA from his home in Tangerang City.

Khariq suspected AFA’s recent social media activity prompted the arrest, as the account frequently posted criticism and content about protests. The account also actively raised allegations that mass organizations played a role in the death of Bambang Setiawan, 59, in Pejompongan, Central Jakarta, during the unrest.
