Stramed, Flooding besiege Jakarta after 2020 new year celebrated. And this is a sadness gift for Jakarta’s resident and other provinces were besieged flooding too. Continuing flooding in Jakarta and Indonesia had shown the failure to anticipate climate change during planing city masterplan. Politicization about these sensitive and crucial issue were delivered on social media, and Jakarta’s governor, Anies Baswedan has been blaming and cornering.
For several vested interest groups and whom have faith, they were had notion about flooding surrounding Jakarta and Indonesia is a God’s torment, because during celebrating the new year, most of people had trumpet blown and burning fireworks which was not accepted in certain religious teaching.
Essentially, we must pray to God about the safety of new year celebration party around Indonesia because we do not take such as cell terror attacks or others criminals activities. Just only heavy rain surrounded Jakarta and Indonesia which has been making flooding everywhere.
Substantially and basically, flooding can create uncertainty and several lost such as economic lost, transportation bother until raising people distrust to the capability of central government and provinces government to tackly yearly threats.
I think climate change threat and massively natural resources exploitation in Indonesia should be stopped, and development of plan must aware on climate change issues and the impact of natural dissassters. The next time, perhaps the President, governor, major and regent can be impeached if they are not capable to anticipate and to minimalize natural dissasters likes flooding, earthquake, tsunami, forest burning and others.
