U.S. Attack on Venezuela Represents New Form of Colonialism

KN. Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) expert Rizal Sukma said the U.S. attack on Venezuela constitutes a form of new colonialism, reflecting U.S.arbitrariness in seeking to dominate the country. He also urged the public to pay attention to an interview given by U.S. President Donald Trump to The New York Times, which he said — presented in detail and without concealment — signals the emergence of a new form of colonialism at the beginning of 2026. Rizal further highlighted the U.S. role in shaping global hegemony based on the concept of a Group of Two (G2), or a power-sharing arrangement between the United States and China.
