KN. State energy company Pertamina subsidiary Pertamina Hulu Energi President Commissioner Denny JA said after attending a state banquet at the Élysée Palace in Paris that closer Indonesia–France ties reflect not only stronger bilateral cooperation but also the emergence of a new axis of middle powers seeking to maintain sovereignty amid rivalry among major global powers. He said the partnership could serve as a model for countries seeking to maintain strategic independence without aligning with major global powers.

Government Communications Agency Chair Muhammad Qodari said that President Prabowo holds a unique position in international relations due to his ability to maintain good relations with leaders of major world powers. According to Qodari, President Prabowo has positive relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Chinese President Xi Jinping. He said these relationships provide benefits for Indonesia, both in navigating current global dynamics and in supporting the country’s national interests in the future.
