Indonesia’s Trade Balance Records $450 Million Deficit in June 2026

Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Distribution and Services Statistics Deputy Ateng Hartono said that Indonesia’s trade balance recorded a $450 million deficit in June 2026 as imports exceeded exports. “The deficit in June 2026 was primarily caused by a deficit in oil and gas commodities, the deficit amounting to $3.49 billion, with the main commodities contributing to the deficit being oil and crude oil,” Ateng said.

However, the trade deficit in June 2026 was lower than the $1.61 billion recorded in May 2026.
