Stramed, Steps by steps, Indonesia’s government has been solving Papua’s problems especially since Papua’s social riots in Manokwari, Timika, Sorong, and Fakfak. President Jokowi had been ordered the Military commander, Marshall TNI Hadi Tjahjanto and the National Police chief, General Police Tito Karnavian to stay in Papua and West Papua since one week ago. They had been coordinated and lead law enforcement and security conditioning in Papua and West Papua.
Meanwhile, Indonesia’s delegation in Geneva, Switzerland had been explained Papua’s situation to United Nations Human Rights Commisioner, and in the same time, Indonesia’s foreign minister had been explained Papua’s situation progress to the House of Representative. Indeed, the Indonesia’s government has restored an internet access in Papua and West Papua, and the National Police has been huntering Papua’s riots provocateur. But on other sides, ULMWP’s leader and Papua’s fugitive, Benny Wenda had been protested on Veronica Koman status as the verdicts on Papua’s riots.
Indonesia’s embassy in London, United Kingdom had been given warning to UK’s government regarding to Benny Wenda’s maneuver. Meantime in United States, at least 500 Indonesia’s people had been held solidariy action to support Papua’s peace condition, but West Papua National Committee (KNPB) had rejected Tito Karnavian’s statement about KNPB is a mastermind of Papua’s riots.
Previously, spokesman of the National Police Brigjen (Pol) Dedi Prasetyo said there was foreign agenda setting which was carried out by them during Papua’s riots, because they had main purpose over their action were brought Papua’s human rights violence at general assembly of the United Nations which are doing in New York, September 23 til 24th, 2019 and the United Nations human rights meeting today September 9th, 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland.
According to Stanislaus Riyanta, during cyber and proxy war era, social media is one of strategic key to change local, national, regional and international images on seriously issues such as Papua’s issues.
“Negative narration had been spreading by Freedom Papua Movement (OPM), because they want Papua’s issue to be an international issue. Their channels to spread their propaganda and negative narration through social media,” Stanislaus explained further and reiterated that social media’s also cheap operation budget.
Meanwhile, Ismail Fahmi said message and information war on social media as an international cyberwar regarding to Papua’s issue, because of that, the efforts of Indonesia’s government which had claimed all of Papua’s issue were hoaxes, is not an enough to counter the influx of negative narration regarding to Papua.
“The Indonesia’s government need an international counter narration regarding to Papua’s issue. Those must be delivered on English languages. The counter narration must be given balance information and facts about Papua, natural, consistent and did not use bot,” Ismail Fahmi, founder of social media analyst machine, Drone Emprit suggested on histwitt @ismailfahmi.
According to previously Drone Emprit’s analysist, Papua’s issue had been spreded by an influencer or user who were came from Australia, United Kingdom, Cuba, New Zealand, Germany, the United States of America and Spanyol. Besides Jakarta, Sydney, Havana, Melbourne, London and Berlin had recorded as an intensively influencer activities related to Papua’s problem.
Several an international groups which have been supporting West Papua’s campaign through several mainstream media and they were actively spreaded their campaign narration at Guardian, RNZ, SBS, ABC, SMH, Telegraph, Aljazeera, and EMTV which all of them have link to social media to spread and bolstering their news. Finally, those facts has shown that Papua’s issue to be an international attention.
The government of Indonesia especially President Joko Widodo must realized and giving order to Communication and Information minister, Foreign minister, Security and political affairs coordinating minister, the Military commander, the National Police chief including the State Intelligence Agency chief together make simultaneous, smart and comprehensive positive narration in bahasa and English languages related to Papua’s issue to counter, to minimalize and its will be better if it can stop massive and simultaneously negative narration spreading efforts by OPM’s supporters and symphatizers not only in Indonesia and also abroad. Hopefully.
