KN. The successful conclusion of the U.S.–Indonesia Cyber Policy Dialogue reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to advancing cybersecurity and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. The event brought together senior officials, technical experts, and representatives from both nations. U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Regional Security Assistance and Public Diplomacy in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Robert Koepcke, who led the U.S. delegation, underscored the strategic importance of U.S.-Indonesia cooperation on cyber policy, addressing online fraud, and combating cybercrime.
U.S. Embassy Jakarta Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Peter Haymond highlighted the strong bilateral cyber cooperation that has been built over the past several years. The United States also announced new assistance for Indonesia, bringing the total to $10 million. These programs represent the implementation of the bilateral Cybersecurity Memorandum of Understanding and demonstrate the success of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including the Cybersecurity Action Plan.
