Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said that the Indonesian government is willing to purchase Russian oil on a long-term basis. He added that the second phase of crude oil imports from Russia has begun. However, he did not disclose the volume of the second-phase imports. Bahlil also confirmed that the first phase of crude oil imports already arrived in Indonesia but did not specify its volume. Indonesia previously faced doubts over whether it would import oil from Russia due to the potential threat of U.S. sanctions on Russian products. Bahlil said the government would not accept pressure from other countries that could prevent it from procuring oil that is urgently needed. |
