KN, Finally the tragic faith was come. U20 Indonesia national team under coach Indra Sjafri and Bima Sakti had failed anter defeated to Iran 0-3 and Uzbekistan 1-3 in 2025 Asian Cup in China. At the last match Indonesia will against Yaman. Indonesia has also absenced in 2025 U 20 in Chile.
The performance of U20 under Indra Sjafri as coach dissapointed. Only Jens Raven had created goal against Uzbekistan. Several players were playing well such as Jens Raven, Welber Jardim, Kadek Arel, Alfarezi Buffon, Iqbal Gwijangge and Donny Tri Pamungkas. Other players were under performed.
Indra Sjafri did not choose players such as Ali Tanamal (Persita), Rahmat Berry Santoso (Barito Putra) etc who did played well at BRI Liga 1 also goal keeper Cyrus Margono who play in Kosovo league and Mathew Baker and Timothy Baker who are playing in Australia. Sjafri doesnt choose Tim Gypens and Dion Marks who were finished to naturalize as Indonesia citizens.
Local coach are seems like not eligible to coaching national team. It is first lesson. Secondly, PSSI must make regulation to push and persist club and coach in Liga 1 and 2 must give 90 minutes play for at least 3 player under U 20 till U 23 for giving them chance upgrading their football skills. Finally if they will play at national team having perfect skills (TE)
