KN. President Prabowo symbolically launched the simultaneous construction of 13 National Strategic Projects (PSN) across Indonesia — from Sumatra to Papua — as part of Downstream Phase II, in Cilacap, Central Java. This major initiative includes processing facilities for key commodities across various sectors, ranging from energy and metal minerals to plantations. During the ceremony, the president emphasized that the development of facilities such as fuel storage tanks in Biak and nutmeg processing in Maluku reflects social justice for all Indonesians. He said that the 13 downstreaming strategic projects are valued at approximately $ 7 billion (IDR116 trillion), comprising five projects in the energy sector, five in the mineral sector, and three in the agricultural sector.
President Prabowo set a target for 30 to 40 downstreaming project sites to be developed and become operational across Indonesia throughout 2026, as part of efforts to increase national economic output. This initiative is aimed at improving the welfare of farmers, fishermen, and workers, who are seen as not yet fully benefiting from the country’s natural resource wealth.
